University Recreation to Offer Spring Small Group Training

Jan 17, 2019 | Health, Human Performance and Recreation, University Recreation

University Recreation is offering small group training classes from Monday, Jan. 28, through Tuesday, March 7, as well as Monday, March 25, from Tuesday, May 2, 2019. Small group training offers a unique opportunity to explore a new dimension of fitness by blending camaraderie of a group fitness with individualized attention of a certified personal trainer. Small group training is a great option for those seeking to be a part of a motivating class working towards achieving their fitness goals.

Classes are offered at various times throughout the day and take place in the UREC Train studio in the HPER Building. The UREC Train studio is a converted racquetball court that is dedicated to providing a private training space for clients. The cost for students to participate in the entire six-week section is $30, for all other UREC membership types the cost will be $40.

Emily Coady, graduate assistant in education reform, participated in small group training on a regular basis in the fall. “My small group instructor empowered us, and my group built genuine camaraderie,” said Coady. “With the stress of the semester, it was a great way to stay mentally and physically fit. I’ve already signed up for this semester.”

Register for small group training in the UREC main office located in HPER 225 or register online at Member Services.
