University Recreation is offering Small Group Training classes from Sept. 24 through Nov. 20. Small group training offers a unique opportunity to explore a new dimension of fitness by blending camaraderie of group fitness with individualized attention of a certified personal trainer. Small group training is a great option for those seeking to be a part of a motivating class working towards achieving their fitness goals.

Classes are offered at various times throughout the day and take place in the UREC Train studio in the HPER Building. The UREC Train studio is a converted racquetball court that is dedicated to providing a private training space for clients. Each class meets twice a week for eight weeks. The cost for students to participate in the entire eight-week section is $30, for all other UREC membership types the cost is $40. Complimentary demos will be held at the scheduled class times from today through Thursday, Sept 10-13.

Stephanie Hood, a research assistant on campus, has participated in Small Group Training on a regular basis for the past year. “Small group training has changed my perspective on fitness and has inspired me to help inspire others to achieve their fitness goals,” said Hood. “Never have I felt so confident, healthy or motivated.”

Register for Small Group Training at the UREC main office located in HPER 225 or register online at urec.uark.edu under Member Services. The fall 2018 Small Group Training schedule, registration packet and more information for all session dates and times are listed below on urec.uark.edu.
